NEU Strike Action – Tuesday 14th February

We have been informed today that as a result of negotiations with Welsh Government, the NEU has postponed next week’s proposed strike day until March 2nd. This means that Bedwas Juniors will be open as normal on Tuesday 14th February.

Colorfoto

Colorfoto are in school on Monday. They will be taking Y3 – Y5 class group photos and the various photos for the Year 6 ‘Leavers’ Pack’.

Bedwas Book Day - May

As usual, to avoid the clash with St David’s Day and our Eisteddfod celebrations, we will be celebrating World Book Day as part of our ‘Book Week’ in May. A reminder will be sent out closer to the time.

Rugby Tournament

Good luck to the Bedwas Juniors Y5/6 team who will be competing in the Dragons Rugby Tournament in Rodney Parade, Newport today. They will be competing against teams from all over Gwent.

New Directions Courses

Red Class welcomed some trainers from New Directions who came in to deliver First Aid and British Sign Language sessions for them last week. These sessions were offered to us free by ND and gave the children an opportunity to enjoy something beyond our usual curriculum.
